Using the Motion F5 Computer - WIP
Connecting the Power Adapter
Insert power adapter plug into socket on right side of unit under the rectangular bung
Plug mains power adapter into mains or into the vehicle inverter outlet
Turning On
Locate the small power button on the right hand side of the unit
Press the button
Press the ‘Key’ (Security) button next to the fingerprint reader/camera button to lock or unlock the F5 (equivalent to pressing Control Alt Delete on the keyboard)
Turning Off
Close biscoPro
Tap the Power Icon on the desktop
Motion dashboard
Press the small round button at the top right on the front of the unit
or
Tap the Microsoft icon on the desktop and then tap Motion Dashboard in the pop-up menu (it is also under Motion Computing under ‘All Programs’)
or
Tap ‘Show hidden Icons’ and tap the ‘M’ icon on the top left of the pop-up panel
Using the Pen
Point = Mouse Point
Tap = Mouse left click
Double-tap = Mouse double click
Drag = Mouse Drag
Tap and hold = Mouse right click
Press Function button and then tap = Mouse Right-click
Touch Input mode
PEN Only (recommended)
(Set in Motion Dashboard, Pen & Tablet, Touch Settings, Digitizer Options, Input mode)
Display brightness
To adjust the display brightness
Open Motion Dashboard
Tap Display
Move the Brightness slider to the desired level.
Checking the battery life
Note – the battery life of the C5 is approximately 2 hours when fully charged. Please connect to the charger in the vehicle or at the office as soon as possible.
• Open Motion Dashboard and tap Power - panel shows ‘Remaining Charge ..%’
or
• Place the pen over the battery/power icon in the notification area pup-up panel shows ‘..% available’
When the tablet is running on the battery, the battery gauge shows the current level of charge.
Four green lights—75%-100%
Three green lights—50% -75%
Two green lights—25%-50%
One green light—<25% remaining
Flashing amber light—Battery is low and requires an immediate charge
To check the battery is charging
Locate the battery gauge button on the top right of the tablet. The light is Amber when the tablet is connected to a power source.
When the battery is charging, the battery gauge shows the current level of charge
Four green lights — Battery is fully charged
Four amber lights — 75%-100% charged
Three amber lights — 50% -75% charged
Two amber lights — 25%-50% charged
One amber light — less than 25% charged
Starting biscopro
Double tap on the biscoPro icon on the desktop
[Note the tablet may be configured to autostart biscoPro]???
Power management settings
Dims after 1 minute, display off after 5 minutes. Sleeps after 10 minutes
To wake up the tablet press and release the power button.
External Display Screen
Connect external screen to socket on side of unit.
Use Motion Dashboard to select the MIRROR DISPLAY Display Scheme (Preferred)
Preferred Default Settings for BiscoPro
