Using the Motion F5 Input Panel (Draft)
Adjust Size of Tablet PC Input Panel
Use the size handle to maximize the panel
Opening the Writing Pad
Tap in a field in biscoPro (Either a small Writing Pad or the Keyboard icon will appear nearby)
Tap on the Icon to get a usable Writing Pad or a Keyboard.
Note: You can also tap the tab located on the left side of the screen to expand the input panel.
Write in Freehand Style (handwriting)
Same as using pen on paper
(Default mode)
Write Character by Character
Write in marked spaces
Switching between Freestyle and Character Entry
Open Input Panel
Tap Tools (top of the input panel)
Tap Write in Freehand style
Or
Tap Write Character by Character
Dock Tablet PC Input Panel
Tap Tools (top of the input panel)
Tap Docking
Tap Float, Top or Bottom for preferred location
To start writing in the Writing Pad
Place the Pen tip on the tablet and position it on or near the line in the Writing Pad
Start writing or printing along the line as you would on paper
Writing will self-correct spelling where it can and will adjust handwriting automatically
Transfer input into biscoPro
Tap Insert tab (Bottom right of Input Panel)
Switch between Writing Pad and Keyboard
Tap the appropriate Icon on the Tablet PC Input Panel
Using Bksp, Del, Tab, Enter, Space, and arrow keys
Tap anywhere in the field in biscopro
Tap on the Writing Pad Icon (an empty writing pad appears with the keys on the RHS)
Tap on the key required (keys operate directly in the biscoPro field)
Closing Writing Pad
Tap on Window Close Icon
Handwriting Numbers
Tap in the number field in biscoPro
Tap on the Writing Pad Icon
Write the number
Tap Insert tab
Preferable to use the Num button and tap the numbers (how does bisco handle blanks in numbers?)
Number Pad
Tap in the number field and tap on the Writing Pad Icon. Tap Num button in Writing Pad.
Tap number buttons. Numbers are inserted directly into the field (and don’t appear in the Writing Pad area)
Tap Insert tab
Delete or amend a number
Tap in the number field and tap on the Writing Pad Icon.
Use Bksp, Del, or arrow keys to position cursor
Handwriting text in Bisco Text Fields (e.g. making notes)
Text and numbers can be entered in BiscoPro using the Pen and the Writing Pad or tapping the keys on the online Keyboard.
Inserting text
Tap at the point in the text in biscoPro where new text is required
Tap on the Writing Pad Icon
Start writing
Tap Insert tab
Inserting a Character
Tap at the point in the text in biscoPro where the character is required
Tap on the Writing Pad Icon
Write the character
Tap in Insert tab
Adding more text
Tap at the point in the text in biscoPro where new text is to be added
Tap on the Writing Pad Icon
Continue writing
Tap in Insert tab
Selecting Text (transferring text back into Writing pad)
Sweep the pen backwards over the text in biscoPro to select it.
Tap on the Writing Pad Icon (Selected text should appear in the Writing Pad)
Replacing Text
Sweep the pen backwards over the text in biscoPro to select it.
Tap on the Writing Pad Icon (Selected text should appear in the Writing Pad)
Strikethrough the text in the Writing Pad
Type new text
Tap in Insert tab
Deleting a block of text
Sweep the pen forwards over the text in biscoPro to select it.
Tap on the Writing Pad Icon
Tap on the Del button
Tap in Insert tab
Deleting a word
Sweep the pen back and forward through the word (strikethrough) until the word is removed
Deleting a character
Tap the pen just before the character to be deleted (Writing pad changes to Character mode)
