Glossary of Terms

Like most systems we have had to come up with terms to name various concepts and functions within our system.  We try to make them as intuitive as possible but just in case here is a glossary to help you with our language.

Key Terms
Company - where we hold information about your organisation
Contact - people associated with your company, customers, or suppliers
Customer - your customers, clients, and prospects
FileStore - the document management module.  There are FileStores on most entities within the system allowing you to store documents in their correct context.
Supplier - provides of products or services to your organisation
Project - projects or jobs that your organisation is involved with or working on
Project Contact - a contact that is involved with a project

Other Terms
Action - a note or reminder about something someone has done on a project or customers
Desktop - where you can go to see a users diary, tasks, and projects
Diary - the calendar for a user
Environment - Each bisco system is a separate environment with a separate database.  You biscoPro client can access one or more environments at a time.
Issue - an unplanned activity related to a project
Task - an expected activity on a project
Task Work - planned or actual work relating to a task or an issue.
