Adding, editing, and deleting Items
The Items module in biscoPro is the electronic representation of materials, labour, services, etc that you use within your business. They hold information about an item like code, name, prices, and suppliers.
biscoPro also uses items to represent clauses in their document builder tool but this is covered elsewhere.
Items are accessed from the Items node on the Main Form then double clicking on the Item Type in the secondary naviator.
This opens the Items Main Form. The top tree shows the different types of item in your system, the secondary navigator shows the folders or groups within this type. Click on a folder to see the items in that folder in the grid on the right.
(Note: If you see a grey panel instead of the grid, click on the Details tab - this is a bug fixed in the next release version).
Right clicking on an item allows you to add, edit or delete the selected item.
You can only delete an item that hasn't been used anywhere in the system.
Details
Selecting add or edit opens the Item Edit form. This allows you to edit any of the main details of the Item.
Pricing
Clicking on the pricing tab allows you to view then change the items pricing. The pricing allows you to set a date range for cost and sell prices.
Suppliers
The supplier tab allows you to add the suppliers that you use onto the item. You can also add a supplier code and description to assist you in dealing with your suppliers in the right terminology. Once you have added a supplier you can set one supplier as the default on the Item Details tab.
FileStore
The FileStore tab allows you to store documents against the item. These could be maintenance information, servicing shedules, instructions or the like. The aren't copied into documents like orders etc but are available to users as a reference.
Properties
Allow you to define specific properties for the item for use in estimating or other selection processes.
